Q: | If Paloma does not do the engineering of a project, who does the engineering? |
Q: Does Paloma Energy Consultants do engineering?
A: No. While Paloma has a strong core of experienced engineers, we focus on the project management side of the job. This keeps us focused on our task: getting your project completed safely, on budget and on time.
Q: What is the difference between a company that just does project management and one that is an engineering/project management company?
A: Many companies that do both have dual interests. They tend to lean heavy on the engineering side of the business and do project management as an added service. As stated above, our goal is the singular focus of managing your project.
Q: What kind of company is a good fit for Paloma Energy Consultants?
A: Paloma has services that would benefit most offshore Production/Exploration companies. However, most of our clients are independent oil and gas companies that are not interested in the overhead of staffing multiple project managers and inspectors to run their projects. We excel at assisting these types of companies.
Q: If I am an operations manager or project manager for my company, won’t they frown on me hiring a project management company to do my job?
A: Project managers and inspectors work closely with the client's operation's team to keep them informed regarding the project's progress and key decision-making. In fact, our ability to deliver a project on budget and on time is added value for everyone involved.
Q: If Paloma does not do the engineering of a project, who does the engineering?
A: There are two approaches: 1) Often the client company has a close relationship with a preferred engineering company. If that is the case, Paloma works closely with that company. 2) Paloma has a number of reputable engineering companies we can suggest and work with for a given type of project.
